Dr. Colin Dias is a double board-certified physician and surgeon in California whose expertise over the last 18 years center on:
1.) Addiction Medicine
2.) Adult Psychiatry
3.) Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Prior to entering private practice, he held distinguished posts at the Keck USC School of Medicine where he also completed his residency and fellowship. These posts included being the Medical Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services for 7 years, Chief of the Department of Psychiatry for nearly 10 years and faculty member of the University. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, he taught Psychiatry to medical students, interns and resident physicians.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Dias has conducted PTSD research in the Level I trauma center at the Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center (LAC+USC), assessing the variables that contribute to both PTSD and Acute Stress Disorder and has had his findings published in peer-reviewed journals.After serving the academic community for more than 15 years, Dr. Dias pursued a private practice in addiction medicine and psychiatry. In the last 18 years of this practice, he has helped thousands of patients to successful recovery and return to productive life by treating substance abuse, alcohol abuse and dual diagnosis disorders. His 3-Step Approach of Getting Clean, Staying Clean and Thriving has yielded personal and professional achievements to his patients.
